Today i found a youtube which goes through what Wikis are and how to use them and set them up! I found this helpful. i wanted to share it with everyone so i used the scaffolding tool given to us about adding pictures and videos to my Blog! the only trouble i had with this was when i clicked the edit HTML button i didnt realise it whent into this part and i was clicking it a thousand times! lol I then realised after pasting the embedding information for the youtube and clicked on compse it was already in teh edit HTML and my video came up! this was simple and i did this very quickly! Youtubes are a great tool for learners to use as their is so much information out there and having a video of how to do something is a great way to learner for a lot of learners! Not all learners can learn from verbal instructions or written instructions. i am a learner who learns best through watching a task being performed and then having a go and defining it down to be the best i can be at the task. You tubes are great for learners as they can hear the information and see it at the same time! so it caters for most learners!
This is how easy it is to embed!!!! i was able to embed this video you tube in under 1 minute!

Creating a Wiki
Creating a wiki. What do i say! it was so much easier then a Blog!! maybe because i have already made the mistakes on the Blogger and i know what to do now! However i found the Wiki more simple with easy to use settings! With the site being more easy to use i found myself excited when i achieve something. like putting a profile picture and inserting a picture and a message. also i made a post. i was able to do this all very quickly and effciently. i was happy and ecited to investigate the site and wnated to learn more about it. i can see how learners would become engaged in learning how to use this site and how this could have a massive positive impact on their learning!

• If your score on a scale is 1-3, you are fairly well balanced on the two dimensions of that scale.
• If your score on a scale is 5-7, you have a moderate preference for one dimension of the scale and will learn more easily in a teaching environment which favors that dimension.
• If your score on a scale is 9-11, you have a very strong preference for one dimension of the scale. You may have real difficulty learning in an environment which does not support that preference.
My Learning Style! Is the test accurate for me??
1. What is your learning style? What sorts of learning experiences would suit you best with your learning style?
My learning style is strongly associated to one style. I learn best when I see the information and able to manipulate and experiment with what I am learning about. Learning experiences that would suit my learning style best is interactive learning. This learning style is common especially at a young age. Teachers who teach young children would use this a lot so the children can look at the object from different ways and see how it moves and feels.
2. In a traditional classroom of 25 students, how would you support the range of learning styles each lesson?
Teachers can incorporate both learning styles into their teaching to accommodate for most learners. This can be done by the teacher drawing pictures and showing the students objects and having hands on activities as well as discussing the topic in-depth with the students and having activities where the students can read about the topic and respond in a written way. As a teacher it is best to incorporate both learning styles into your teaching style to accommodate for most students.
3. With your current knowledge of ICT, how could your design and digital pedagogy support your learners better?
My current knowledge of ICT is very minor and I have difficulties working out where all the buttons are to edit and save and insert pictures and videos. However with my brief knowledge about digital technology I would be able to design a digital learning experience to support my learners better by creating a power point presentation and inserting a voice over and some engaging pictures and videos. I could also have links to website pages to bring up more information about the topic. I could save this to G drive and this allows all students to access this power point. The students can then go watch the power point and access the hyperlinked web pages I have inserted into the power point. This can support learners better by allowing them to find more in-depth knowledge about the topic. This would also suit a range of learners as a voice over for auditory learners, pictures for visual learners and hands-on activity with accessing the power point and information for kinaesthetic learners.
4. What sorts of profiling questions would you be asking about your learners to ensure you cater for everyone's preferences?
The sort of questions I would ask about learners to ensure I am catering for everyone’s learning style would be do they like reading, listening to stories, or watching movies? This will enable me to grasp if they are auditory, visual or kinaesthetic learners. As well as asking more question like do they like working in groups, have discussions, working individually, giving group presentations or do they like looking at pictures? All these sort of questions can help profile what sort of learner the student is and how they are going to learn best.
5. How does ICT support differences in learning styles?
ICT can support a range of learners, as it has a vast variety of applications. The list is endless. Digital doesn’t just refer to internet. It refers to all sorts of things that technology relates to. For instant mobile phones have access to the internet and on the internet endless amounts of information and sources for knowledge are available. This information is available in videos, you-tubes, voice over’s, pictures, written information, graphs, surveys ECT. So ICT dose support all learners and all learners can hugely benefit from using these tools that are readily available.
6. You may wish to post an OPTIONAL posting in your blog identifying your own learning style, the accuracy of the test, and a reflection on the implication for online learning design.
My learning style is very hands on and visual. If I am spoken to the words start sounding like BLAH BLAH BLAH…. And I start to fall asleep. The test was very accurate. Online learning can be beneficial for most learners however there are many implication for instant getting distracted, being off task, researching inappropriate things and bullying other students. If a detection was invented for when students were accessing these sorts of sites (for instant many schools block certain sites to avoid such behaviour) then these sorts of technologies could be implemented into the classroom learning experiences without worry of such behaviour occurring. Also many teachers would support this type of learning as it would save paper and printing worksheets and assignments. The teachers could set work sheets on specific site and the students could email it to her when they done for the teacher to check the answers. This could really be a very environmentally safe and positive way of the future!

Learning Theories Page
This week i looked at learning theories and and discoved the learning theory behaviourism. By accessing and reading the following site i discovered behaviourism is the study of response to stimulus and the consequence to the response. Pavlov's dog is the study that was completed. when a bell rang the dog was fed. this was done over and over. until one day the bell could be rung and the dog would begin salavating to prepare for being fed. http://www.learningandteaching.info/learning/behaviour.htm , i believe this is a great theory and can be linked to the classroom effectively. its about teaching the learners about expectations and consequences both postitive and negitive.
Bianca Turner and I discussed and research Behaviourism. Through researching this topic in the learning theories, we accessde a wiki site and created a Positive, Minus and Interesting table. In this PMI we highlighted the positives behaviourism has on learning and teaching in the classroom, the negitives and the interesting points on this topic.
We found the positives or benifits of learnered behaviour on learners includes it teaches learners positive efficacy, learners can learn behaviour from concequences when teachers are consistant and if positive behaviour is reckognised, other learners follow this model.
Our PMI on behaviourism can be found on the Gladstone wiki page at http://fahe11001gladstone.wikispaces.com/Behaviourism
Through creating a wiki we first found it difficult. i wasnt sure if i had to sign in, create a learning theories page or how to edit the behaviourism page??? However after clicking on some links and investigating we found you didnt need to sign in, or create the pages. the pages were there and we just had to edit them. this part was easier, however with having difficulties working out how not to remove anyone else's work and how to save our own work we found trouble and had to rewrite our wiki twice!! haha We will know for the next wiki page how to save it properly the first time!

We agreed the negitives or the weaknesses of learned behaviour on learners include if a teacher is not consistant students will not believe these outcomes will occur and these actions from the students will fail to occur, if a teacher is just concerned about negitive behaviour of students they students will not realise yo use positive behaviour and if a teacher dosent follow through with reawrds the students will lose trust in the teacher.
Together we collaborated the interesting points of behaviourism include rewards motivate students, troubled students can be transformed into well behaved students and these actions and consequences can crete classroom expectations

Week One: Learning theory and E learning
This week I tried saving my written information into my blog. After numerous attempts of redoing the information and it not saving, I was getting very cranky. I found this difficult. Through trialling different settings and buttons to press, I found a setting in my post options below to save the date and time automatically. This allowed me to save it now. Not later. After this I found some of the information would save but not all of it.
With assistance I kept looking for a reason it was not saving. I found that the information I was trying to save was not being read by this message type. So in order for me to save it I needed to save the blog as a HTML not a normal message. This was because I had a table from the internet to show some information.
Although this was a long and painful process, I found the reason through investigating. This problem has now been solved and all my work is being saved. Yeah!
