This week i looked at learning theories and and discoved the learning theory behaviourism. By accessing and reading the following site i discovered behaviourism is the study of response to stimulus and the consequence to the response. Pavlov's dog is the study that was completed. when a bell rang the dog was fed. this was done over and over. until one day the bell could be rung and the dog would begin salavating to prepare for being fed. http://www.learningandteaching.info/learning/behaviour.htm , i believe this is a great theory and can be linked to the classroom effectively. its about teaching the learners about expectations and consequences both postitive and negitive.
Bianca Turner and I discussed and research Behaviourism. Through researching this topic in the learning theories, we accessde a wiki site and created a Positive, Minus and Interesting table. In this PMI we highlighted the positives behaviourism has on learning and teaching in the classroom, the negitives and the interesting points on this topic.
We found the positives or benifits of learnered behaviour on learners includes it teaches learners positive efficacy, learners can learn behaviour from concequences when teachers are consistant and if positive behaviour is reckognised, other learners follow this model.
Our PMI on behaviourism can be found on the Gladstone wiki page at http://fahe11001gladstone.wikispaces.com/Behaviourism
Through creating a wiki we first found it difficult. i wasnt sure if i had to sign in, create a learning theories page or how to edit the behaviourism page??? However after clicking on some links and investigating we found you didnt need to sign in, or create the pages. the pages were there and we just had to edit them. this part was easier, however with having difficulties working out how not to remove anyone else's work and how to save our own work we found trouble and had to rewrite our wiki twice!! haha We will know for the next wiki page how to save it properly the first time!

We agreed the negitives or the weaknesses of learned behaviour on learners include if a teacher is not consistant students will not believe these outcomes will occur and these actions from the students will fail to occur, if a teacher is just concerned about negitive behaviour of students they students will not realise yo use positive behaviour and if a teacher dosent follow through with reawrds the students will lose trust in the teacher.
Together we collaborated the interesting points of behaviourism include rewards motivate students, troubled students can be transformed into well behaved students and these actions and consequences can crete classroom expectations
